High Protein Diet - Losing weight in 4 phases

To insure clearness and understanding, the program MEDIDIET® was conceived in 4 phases. Practically it means the patient gradually goes through four cycles, not only losing weight from the adipose tissue but also establishing the right eating habits to maintain his new weight.
Schematically, one day in each phase can be described the following way:

1st phase: 5 instant protein meals + vegetables (unrestricted quantity)

The 1st phase is the most effective concerning weight loss. The organism comes into ketosis 48h after starting the diet with which feelings of hunger disappear. To induce ketosis the body needs to consume 90g of instant proteins per day, which corresponds to 5 MEDIDIET® preparations during the first phase. It is compulsory to consume vegetables, some kinds even in limitless quantity. Are prohibited sugars and any groceries containing sugar (such as sweet vegetables, any kind of fruit, etc.). The composition of the preparations is balanced to assure a daily income in saccharin of around 50g, which is the necessary amount for the normal function of the central nervous system. Weight loss from the adipose tissue is fast and constant varying from 4-7kg per month. 

2nd phase: three to four instant protein meals + vegetables (unrestricted quantity) + one “normal” meal containing lean meat

The goal is to keep the body in a moderate ketosis (and therefore maintain the weight loss on the adipose tissue) and gradually bring it back to “normal” meals (animal proteins of quality in the form of one main dish per day). The offer of vegetables widens and includes sorts that are prohibited during the first phase (such as tomatoes, red pepper…). The second phase is at least twice as long as the first one. The patient should start with a regular physical activity during the second phase.

3rd phase – two to three instant protein meals + vegetables (unrestricted quantity) + two „real“ meals formed of lean + a careful come-back to sugars in the form of fruit

The goal of the third phase is to stabilize achieved results whilst continuing to moderately loose weight. This phase aims for a progressive come-back to sugar in the form of vegetal polysaccharides (sweet fruit, no dessert, no pastry or sugaring!!). The therapist will determine its length. Being patient during this phase is extremely important in order to minimize the risks of the yoyo effect.

4th phase – one to two instant protein diet meals + healthy alimentation

The forth phase is more or less a lifetime diet as the patient adopts a healthy lifestyle combining good alimentation habits and regular physical activity. The patient is aware of the fact he has to keep an eye on himself and return to the specialist if his weight sways of more than 3kg compared to the ideal reached weight.
